If you guys are regular followers of my blog, then you already know how much I love my cat, Graham. I’m totally a crazy cat lady and 100% proud of it, because he’s legit the coolest cat I’ve ever met and he’s kind of my best friend.
My obsession with him is weird because I grew up hating cats. But when I found this guy about 6 years ago, my outlook on them completely changed. Now anytime we see a stray cat outside, Joe has to grab me, pick me up, and force me into the car because he knows that if given the chance, I’d have 15 cats at home. CAT PARTYYYYY!!!!
God he’s so mean sometimes!
But anyway, even though Graham is seriously pissing me off right now because he’s up on the cabinets and I can’t get him down, I love that dude to pieces, and here are a few reasons why.
He’s super easy to please
Seriously, I’ve spent so much money on toys for Graham and he’s hated 99% of them. But give him a box, and he’s entertained for hours! Or, not even a box. Just give him a plastic bag or a bobby pin or a piece of paper and he’s living the life! Legit, happiness overload! So yea, I love that he’s super easy to please and that I don’t have to spend half of my paycheck buying him new toys every day.
He loves to cuddle
Maybe my cat used to be a dog in another life, because he’s not distant like most cats I know. Nope, quite the opposite. He loves to freaking cuddle all the time! I mean, sometimes I feel bad because I’ll throw him off the couch because I NEED SPACE! And that’ll last a good 30 and a half seconds before he jumps back up and finds a nice little resting place on my lap or right next to my legs, pretty much anywhere as long as he’s somehow touching me. But most of the time I love it, because he’s just so damn cute.
He keeps me company when the hubby’s out of town
Joe travels a lot for work, and when he does, being at home can definitely feel lonely. But with Graham, I at least have some company. He’ll sit around watching tv with me and he’ll follow me around the house, so he’s my little buddy and it makes those days without Joe way better.
He’s really low-maintenance
I am not the kind of person who’s meant to have a dog. Having a dog takes a lot of energy (that I don’t have) and is way more difficult than having a cat. I don’t have to take Graham out for walks. Even though I’ve tried, and he’s hated every second of it. And yea, he just doesn’t take much effort at all. And since Joe and I are so busy all the time, we’ve made our lives even simpler by getting an automated food dispenser and THE MOST AMAZING LITTERBOX OF ALL TIME. I can honestly say that these two things were probably the best investments we’ve made so far since moving into our new house. Graham never starves because the food is dispensed at exactly 6:30am and 6:30pm every day, and I don’t have to touch that litterbox except to empty the trash bag every couple of days. So freaking easy. With a dog, that would never be possible.
He makes me laugh because he’s crazy
Graham is a crazy psycho, so I get a kick out of watching him all the time. All you cat owners know what it’s like when they have their crack-kitty moments and bolt across the house for no apparent reason. He runs into walls sometimes and Joe and I think it’s hilarious lol. He’s also a tiny human because he goes around opening all the doors in our house! Cats aren’t supposed to know how to do that! But yea, he’s extremely entertaining and our lives would be so dull without him.
And because Purina knows how much I love my kitty, they were so nice to us and sent us this amazing Muse care package so Graham could try out their line of products.
Graham was so excited!!!
