Thank you, Dunkin’ Donuts, for sponsoring today’s post. As always, all opinions are my own.
You guys!!! It’s finally SPRING!!! Don’t know how you feel about that, but I’m kind of excited!
So anyway, I decided to start a new series on the blog so I can give you guys a glimpse into what my weekends look like.
If I’m honest, it’s really just a way to force Joe and I to do cool stuff on the weekends, because like right now, he’s playing this new game he’s obsessed with called The Division, and I’m about to lose my mind.
I won’t bore you with the everyday old-people stuff, like the fact that we went to Publix and did groceries, and the many loads of laundry we got done.
But here were some of the highlights of our weekend.
Colored My Hair
I finally did it, guys! I finally colored my hair. Yes, I’d gone 25 years without touching it, but Friday night I finally caved and got a balyage done. Was I nervous? Hell to the yes. It could have been an absolute disaster. And although I’m still having an identity crisis because I’m not used to seeing myself like this, I’m LOVING it!
Movie Time
We watched two new movies this weekend. Sisters with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and the remake of Point Break. Both of them were really good. So good that I didn’t fall asleep though them, which is usually what happens these days.
Watched Bob Ross
LMAO, I don’t care. I know this is ridiculous, but for some reason, I got up from the couch to get something, and when I got back, Joe had started watching this on Hulu. At first, I was like what the heck are you watching?! But then I watched him make a sky that was like 5 different colors. And then he made some mountains. And then he made some trees. Then more trees. Then a lake. OMG that guy’s talented. His hair is so bad, but DUDE! He can paint! I was so conflicted for like 20 minutes. A part of me was in awe of how talented he was, and the other half of me was so depressed because I can’t even draw stick people! I told Joe we’re gunna have a paint-off and see who can make a better looking mountain forest thing.
Bought a Trager Smoker
Yea, we bought a smoker. Do we BBQ? No. But we sure will once we get this thing! Now I need to stock up on some recipe books so we can invite our family over and try it out.
Dunkin Donuts GranDDe Burrito
Yesterday morning I woke up and I was craving iced coffee. Like, badly. Needed some Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee in my life ASAP. So Joe, being the best hubby that he is, drove our butts to Dunkin’ Donuts, and we had breakfast.
Got me my iced coffee (hazelnut, cream & sugar), some hash browns, the obligatory donut (because I can’t ever go there without getting one) and then we tried DD’s new GranDDe Burrito!
The GranDDe Burrito is the newest item on the menu, and it’s huge. It’s a 10-ounce breakfast burrito, so it’s a delicious tortilla filled with a spicy omelet with jalapenos, red bell peppers and pepper jack cheese with habanero. As if that’s not enough, it’s also got a rice and bean blend that contains corn, fire-roasted peppers and onions.
You’ve got two different versions to choose from…sausage and veggie versions, and you can pick one up anytime of the day. But if you wanna give it a try, you ought to hurry, because it’s only available for a limited time.
It’s a little spicy, but totally filling for those days when you’re STARVING and need to pick up something quick and easy. And those hash browns? Yea, those are my fave…delicious crispy bites, that pair well with any breakfast sandwich, especially the new GranDDe Burrito.
And for those of you that love breakfast for lunch or dinner, remember… Dunkin’ Donuts has breakfast all-day with their full menu available from open to close.
So here’s your chance to try it! Enter the giveaway below before Joe does, because I think I could have left him there at DD for a couple hours and he would have been totally okay with that.
Win it – Win a $25 mGift to try the new GranDDe Burrito for yourself!
