As of today, I officially 100% fall into crazy cat lady status, and I couldn’t be happier about it!
This weekend, Joe and I made Graham a kitty cave.
Yep…a kitty cave, and let me tell you something, HE FREAKING LOVES IT!
So here’s how to do it:
Step #1: Get your supplies
Walmart’s got a great craft section, so I picked up a few things while I was shopping this weekend. Some fabric and a few other things to decorate the kitty cave.
Step #2: Prep your box
We used a small moving box, and Joe took a lid off one of our pots to draw a circle on one side. He then took a knife and cut it out. That’s it! Super easy.
Step #3: Cover your box in fabric
I picked up 2 yards of fabric at Walmart, and it wasn’t more than like $7. So we took the fabric I had bought and strategized how to best cover it.
Of course, Graham had to be involved every step of the way.
Once we knew where we wanted the fabric to go, we started gluing all the sides, piece by piece.
Here’s a hint for folding the fabric into the hole in the front…cut an incision in the middle where the hole is, and then cut triangles and glue those down individually.
Step 4: Decorate your box!
Put your kitty’s name on it! Add some ribbon! Draw a picture! Whatever you want to do, do it! Just make it fun!
I’m not at all lying when I tell you that Graham spent the rest of the night in there, and it made Joe and I so happy that we didn’t totally fail at this.
See, our kitty is practically our child at this point, and we’re always looking for ways to keep him happy.
So besides his new kitty cave, we’ve also been working extra hard to make sure that he’s eating the best food he possibly can. That’s why we’re introducing IAMS™ Proactive Healthy Adult Dry Cat Food w/ Chicken into his diet.
The new reformulation lets cat lovers (like us) customize our cat’s nutrition through a well balanced lifestyle with IAMS™ dry/wet food and treats.
The treats are really great because they let you target specific dietary needs like Hairball Care, Digestive Health, and Oral Care.
Graham’s digestion is pretty good, so I decided to just focus on oral & hairball care for now.
Anyway, they were a hit with our fur ball. As much as he loved his kitty cave, he did come out a few times to check these out.
Whaaaaat?! Treats?!! Food?!?!
IAMS™, I love you. Love, Graham.
So do something nice for your kitty this week, and pick up some IAMS™.
You can find the products in the pet section at Walmart.
Then go home and cuddle 🙂

Graham’s kitty cave is so cute! He looks super happy!
I am not a cat person, but this is so cute and what a great idea. Every time I am in the pet store, I feel like the cat furniture (is that what you would call it lol?) is so expensive! And I love feeding my little dog Iams!!
We have barn cats, I have friends who would love this DIY Kitty Cave.
What a cute idea!
Oh my gosh! I love everything about this post! Graham looks like a little circus kitty in his fancy cave. If my dogs wouldn’t terrorize a cat, I would adopt an orange tabby. (They’re the cutest!!)
