A few weeks the hubby and I got to take a quick little babymoon at the Eden Roc Miami Beach, so I wanted to do a quick little recap for ya because it was exactly what we needed!
If you’re new around here, hi, btw! I’m Kayla, this is Joe, and we’re currently preparing for our baby boy due this December. We have a 20 month old toddler too, but as you can imagine, we were in desperate need of a nice break from her – just the two of us before baby boy gets here.
The Hotel Room
So first things first, the hotel was gorgeous. Our room was super spacious and clean and put us in the mood to relax for sure.
As soon as we got there, Joe plopped himself right on the bed and I couldn’t blame him. We’re so exhausted these days from working and taking care of Riley and rest is something we’ve definitely been lacking lately.
As nice as the bed was, the bathroom was probably my favorite space in the room. There was a giant tub with blinds that could be opened or closed facing the bed area , an open shower, and a huge area to get ready in – equipped with the best selfie mirror I’ve ever seen in my life lol 😆
But the view from our room was also fantastic. You really can’t beat that. We were on the 12th floor and had the best view of Miami Beach – something I don’t see enough of despite having lived in Miami my whole life.
The Hotel Grounds
Shortly after we arrived at the Eden Roc, we decided to do some exploring. We toured the hotel grounds and I was so impressed.
I loved that the pool area was lively, but that there were also quieter spaces you could escape to if you just wanted to sit down and read or just take a quick stroll on your own.
The Food
Whenever I go on vacation, one of the things I look forward to the most is eating, and this time was no different. Especially now that I’m pregnant, I was really looking forward to the food during our babymoon.
As far as the Eden Roc goes – the food was really good. They have a little cafe by the lobby where you can grab sandwiches, fruit, pastries, coffee, etc. (which we did a few times) but then there’s also room service.

We ordered room service a few times since we literally just wanted to lay in bed eating food while watching movies, and there’s nothing better than that. Sure, it’s a little pricey, but we were happy to splurge a little while on our babymoon.
What I Wore During Our Babymoon
Quick little side note – it was so much fun to actually get dressed up while we were here! As a stay at home mom, I hardly ever get done up anymore and I certainly can’t remember the last time I wore heels!

Malibu Farm
This restaurant was the perfect date night location. Seriously, this was one of my favorite meals I’ve ever had. Malibu Farm is there on property next to the pool area and I was super excited because we got to eat from their Miami Spice menu.

From the broccoli and chicken quesadillas to the roasted chicken that I had, every single thing I tasted was to die for. Everything is super fresh and refreshing (including the fresh squeezed lemonade and watermelon juice we ordered). I also heard the waiter rave about their avocado pizza, so if you ever decide to try this place out, you might wanna save room for that.
The Spa
Esencia Wellness is the spa located at the Eden Roc Miami Beach. Joe and I booked a couples massage the day after we arrived and it was exactly what this preggo lady needed in her life.

The spa facilities were gorgeous and even better – the staff was super friendly and attentive. There’s a locker room area where you can store your belongings, and a pampering room as well where you can freshen up after your service is done.
They were able to put Joe and I in the same room for our massage and for a full 50 minutes, we got to enjoy some much needed peace and quiet! I can’t remember the last time that happened.
After our massage, we were taken back to a relaxation waiting room area that’s stunning, btw, and something I learned while I was there is that when you book a service at the spa, you have access to the facilities the rest of the day.

The Beach
Although we didn’t have time to fully take advantage of the pool or the beach, before we checked out, I grabbed some iced coffee and went over to the beach to enjoy it.
The walk to the beach took less than 10 minutes – perfect because I get tired so easily these days – and the view is just breathtaking.
Living in Miami, I’ve definitely taken these beaches for granted and now that we’re moving to Virginia in a few months, I’ll definitely miss them.
This was such a perfect location for a quick babymoon getaway with Joe, and I’m so happy we took the weekend to slow down and enjoy ourselves a bit.
A huge thank you to the Eden Roc for hosting us during our babymoon! We really enjoyed our stay and hopefully we’ll be back soon!
Wow, such a gorgeous hotel! Looks like the perfect place to relax and unwind for the weekend.
